Chef Blake’s deep connection to Indian cuisine began with his family’s time in India from 1959 through the early ’70s. As the first American family to settle in Jaipur, they were embraced by their neighbors, who introduced them to the rich flavors and hospitality of Indian culture. Blake’s grandmother, Bette, fell in love with the cuisine, learning cherished recipes that she later passed down to him, inspiring his culinary journey.
